A message to students from the UPB Rector, Mr. Mihnea Costoiu
Dear students,
I am writing to you to provide information about the future teaching and learning activities.
The UPB Academic Senate decided on November 12, 2021, that the educational activities for the period 15 November 2021- 28 January 2022 are the following:
Undergraduate studies
- All courses will be held online;
- Laboratories, seminars and projects will be delivered in-person, in accordance with the legal regulations applied in the context of the pandemic. Exceptions can be made, in well-justified cases, with the approval of the Faculty Council, so that the laboratories, seminars and project activities can be delivered online;
- Periodical evaluations and the exams in the January-February 2021 session will be held in-person.
Master studies
· Courses, laboratories, seminars and projects will be held online. These activities could also be delivered in-person with the approval of the Faculty Council and in consultation with professors and students;
· Research activities will be carried out with in-person.
Doctoral studies
- All activities related to doctoral studies (projects, exams and scientific reports) will be carried out in-person; all courses will be held online;
- Public defense of the doctoral theses will be carried out with in-person, except for the members of the commission from outside the university, who can also participate in online format (video-conference).
Postgraduate study programs can be conducted both physically and online.
